I met Nikolas at a photography meetup a few years ago. While we were sitting here on the first evening, he kept smiling at me, and I had a feeling he knew who I was. It took me a whole day to realize that I’ve seen and loved his work before, and to connect him to the boy from the photos I already knew. He told me that he’d been following me for a few years and I could picture him so well at an art college when he told me about his plans for the future. Meeting this boy was so unexpected, but he inspired me in so many different ways during that weekend and up until today.
I finally uploaded a film diary post with the photographs I took during the meetup at Lake Constance.
