film, early August 2013
Over the past few years (especially since I started uni), I have fallen in love with experimenting with different media and just creating with words and colours etc. next to taking photos. And still, most of the time I have excluded my photography in the process, because for some reason I kind of wanted to keep it 'clear'.
After lots of planning and reading and thinking about it, Daniel built a construction that allows us to photograph negatives and then invert and edit them instead of scanning them in — which provides us with such better quality than any scanner we would be able to purchase could ever produce. And I kind of liked not cropping some photos and just leaving the frames around them that come with the technique, and so here is an example from a lovely moment spent at De Kade when I visited Noukka in Holland last summer.
I am so excited that I will finally be able to digitise more film photos and slowly update my film diary
with so many memories from the past two years. (:
