Never before have I seen a cherry look so scrumdiliumptious. (I personally dislike cherries and seeing one usually makes me a little sick.) This picture makes me almost want to eat one!
Vision: Easy to tell what you wanted envisioned. A cherry needed help, so it got it. :]
Originality: The one question I always ask myself at this part: Have I ever seen this done on devART? How about Photobucket? Imageshack? Any image hosting site? And for this image, the answer is simply no to all of those. Just like the McDonald's picture I critiqued - I just have simply never seen anything like this. Period. Good job with your creativity!
Technique: My only complaint is your name and the copyright symbol! But I understand you want that in there, so I'll leave off it. Haha.
I have to say, I'm not a fan of blurriness. You have to use blurriness perfectly in an image or else I'll dislike it. Guess what? You used blurriness just wonderfully. Blurring out the background so it's not a distraction then having the sharp focus on the cherry, clothes pin and the end of the twig is just lovely. And the way the rich red of the cherry contrasts on that dark green! Bah, this image is just beautiful.
First off very cute idea. I think it really resonates the fact that. "hey, we all need some help hanging on" Very very powerful. But yet it's done very simply. I think a lot about this picture is simple, but powerful and beautiful. The bright red of the cherry against the blurred out green background makes it very front and center, it's the first thing you see. Then you look up and then you see the clothes pin. Very bright and once again it stands out. The way the picture is balanced is great. Everything is around the stick that is stretching forward. I think you did a great job with the composition. The way the stick goes back into the photo to disappear draws your eye there next which is very neat because I, personally, wonder... "Ooooh are there more?" Very lovely idea. Beautifully composed. Gorgeous Idea. In one very original picture. (I don't think I've ever seen anything like it)
